Information
What is Rec/Comp? Well, we consider it a program for paddlers that have a couple years of experience with medium to high skill level, but are only looking for a warmer weather program and casual racing. There is no race crew selection or time trials, just enjoying the sport with some coaching and friends. This level is designed for paddlers who have other sports or other commitments such as friends, career, or family. If you are looking to enjoy the water with competitive paddlers, but in a balanced lifestyle, than this is the program for you.
We travel to local and away races and even international
destinations, as long as you have the motivation and commitment.
You, the paddler, choose where and how far you want to go.
This is for paddlers that have a good understanding and can display
correct paddling technique. You will have been paddling at least
2 years, but have strong fitness and are able to paddle with power,
in time and with the correct technique for 80% of the race. Must
be able to complete a HULI and know the basics of steering. Has some race experience and
will help out new paddlers.
